I was out to brunch with my girlfriends on Sunday at Merkato 55 and I was telling them about my wonderful Dutch boyfriend who I’m completely mad over. One of my girlfriends mentioned this article in the Times about the Netherlands.

Oh Chicago, how I missed you!
I was in Chicago the last weekend in April to visit some friends, to move my furniture back, and of course - to eat!
One of my favorite places in Chicago is located in River North, called Blue 13. It is what I would call American Nouveau cuisine. All of their dishes are made with fresh ingredients and are ridiculously flavorful.
